So my Dad flew into Tennessee for a Civil War Reenactment thing (he would be disappointed that I don't remember what it was called) and was able to meet up with my brother Nathan and his wife Maggie while there. After it was over, they snagged him and brought him to KY for a few days where I was able to do some switcherooing with my work schedule to get away for a day and drive down with the kids to see them all. We spent the day in Lexington and grabbed a bite to eat, Dad gave us a wonderful driving tour through Georgetown (where we lived when I was very little), and ended up at the Horse Park where retired champion race horses live. It was a wonderful and fun packed day!! Here are some pictures to remember the day with!
This was the home we lived in when I was two. My sister Kristen was born when we lived in this house and I know by the time I was five we had moved to New York. I have very few memories in this house - eating peanuts on the back porch with Laura, and my Dad's Model A rolling down our backyard into the trees, and walking down to the pasture of cows to feed them. Lots of bike and wagon rides on this street.
Oh what a joy...two very car sick kids and what that has to go the bathroom immediately..good times!
Emily's favorite part was the Shetland Ponies.
Nate, Maggie, Haley, and Everett
Diaper Wedgies still crack me up!
